Well Hello there! I'm Nicole or Nic (not Nikki! I hate being called that!) Mum of two not so little bubbas; Miss M and
Master Q, wife to my best friend (husband!) and author of this little blog.
I carved out this space in the bloggersphere for myself in 2013 when I was on maternity leave with Master Q. I had nearly 3 years off (with a brief return to work between our 'Irish twins'!) and I was determined to come up with a "Plan B" rather than having to return to the job I had been in my whole adult life! What started out as my dream career had turned into a job I dreaded getting up for each day. So my blog here became my tight-arse version of therapy, somewhere to vent the ramblings that were going on in my head whilst attempting to find 'my Plan B'.
Fast forward to today and ***Spoiler alert*** I went back to my old job! Frowny face.(You can read about this on my blog here and here and oh yes here!) But don't despair I haven't given up, the time I spend on writing and recipes is limited to spurts between the kids going to sleep and my head hitting the pillow or little chunks of time husband and I carve out for each other but its quality not quantity I keep reminding myself! A dream is worth holding onto I think, even if you aren't quite sure what that dream is yet...
